A girl sitting on a bike died after being hit by a truck on Monday on GT Road near Kulgo in Dumri police station area, while the bike driver and a teenage boy were seriously injured. Local people brought the injured to Dumri Referral Hospital. After first aid here

Meanwhile, the injured youth is being treated at Dumri Hospital. After the incident, the relatives of the deceased and the local people did not allow the body to be taken away demanding compensation. Dumri police assured to provide compensation under government provisions. After this people lifted the dead body from the road. During this period the road was blocked for approximately 45 minutes. Regarding the incident, it is said that Birendra Sao, a resident of Barkatha, was going to Sona Pahadi on a bicycle from his in-law’s house in Jamtara, Dumri along with his sister-in-law Mamta Kumari (17 years) and to brother-in-law Suraj Kumar (10 years). In this sequence, a lorry going in the same direction hits the bike from behind. In this accident, Mamta Kumari (Lalu Sao’s father) died on the spot, while Birendra Sao and Suraj Kumar were injured. After the accident, the driver fled with the truck.
