ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Chairman Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad announced on Tuesday that the Shawwal moon has been sighted and Eidul Fitr will be celebrated across the country on Wednesday (tomorrow).
The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee held a moon sighting meeting in Islamabad, while zonal committees met in Lahore, Karachi, Quetta and Peshawar.
Representatives of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Pakistan Meteorological Department and the Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) were also present in the meeting.
The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee received 25 witnesses across the country.
