Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, who is hoping to win the Thiruvananthapuram Lok Sabha seat for the fourth time, has declared assets worth more than Rs 55 crore in his nomination papers. They have announced a total revenue of Rs 4.32 crore for the financial year 2022-2023.
Tharoor has movable assets worth Rs 49 crore.
In an affidavit filed along with the nomination papers, Congress leader Shashi Tharoor gave details of his assets and liabilities. He said that he has movable assets worth 49 million rupees, which include various deposits in 19 bank accounts, investments, bonds, bonds and mutual funds. The affidavit also mentions 534 grams of gold worth 32 lakh rupees and 36,000 rupees in cash among his assets his chattel.
Tharoor also owns real estate assets worth Rs 6.75 crore, which include a quarter of an inherited property (currently worth Rs 1.56 lakh), 10.47 acres of land he purchased himself in Thiruvananthapuram (currently worth Rs 6.20 crore) and Madina Capital Inc. His residence (worth 52 lakh rupees). The Congress MP also owns two cars, Maruti Ciaz and Maruti XL6.
