After the results, Shashi Shekhar Prasad Singh defeated his rival Manoj Kumar Arun for the post of President by a margin of 105 votes. Shashi Shekhar Prasad Singh got a total of 405 votes while former President Manoj Kumar Arun got 300 votes. Apart from this, Bhagwat Prasad Mehto, who stood at the third position, got 281 votes.
