Seth, 31, was last seen at about 9am at his home address in the Clifton area on Saturday, February 24.
North Yorkshire Police said the search for the Spanish national is continuing.
A force spokesman previously said the search was focusing on the River Oz after a man was reported in the water near Clifton Ings at 4.30pm on Saturday, February 24.
Today (Tuesday, April 9) a spokesman for Seth’s family told the press that they have no new information from the police.
They said the family was “caring” for Seth and urged the public to take care of him.
“We have had the same information for weeks from the police,” they said.
“There was no new information that could help.
“The police are searching in other areas of the creek.
“We are still concerned; we are still searching.”
The search for missing Seth continues – the police
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police told the press today: “Extensive inquiries have continued, including continuing to search the river.
“We are urging people to continue to consider if they have any information that could assist us.
“If so, please contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, quoting reference number 12240034219.”
As the press reported last month, Jose Manuel Bermudez, the mayor of Santa Cruz in Tenerife, where Seth is originally from, wrote to Spain’s ambassador to the UK, Jose Pascual Marco Jimenez.
In his letter, the mayor asked the ambassador to take an interest in the case and calls on him to act “as soon as possible, since every day that passes is decisive” in the search for Seth.
Seth is described as 6ft 2in tall, of slim build with a tanned complexion. He has brown hair, a mustache and several tattoos including the words ‘Queen Mother’ in Spanish on his left wrist.
He was last seen wearing blue pajama bottoms and a striped shirt although he may have changed clothes since he was last seen, North Yorkshire Police previously said.
Seth’s family describes him as a man who “loved life and was loved by many”.
They are urging anyone with relevant information about him to contact North Yorkshire Police.
The disappearance attracted the attention of Spanish media.
Last month a reporter from a Spanish TV station was in York following the incident.
