GUWAHATI: A national seminar was organized by the Department of Education, Gauhati University on ‘Implementation Strategies of NEP 2020: Exploring Best Practices’. The event, held on April 4, 2024, marked a milestone in the academic discourse surrounding the education reforms introduced by the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

The chief guest of the program, Prof. Pratap Jyoti Handik, Vice Chancellor, University of Gehati, delivered the inaugural address, emphasizing on the implementation strategies of NEP 2020, highlighting the efforts of the university in redesigning various curricula of programs as per the policy. About 200 guests, distinguished faculty members, researchers and students graced the event, which aimed to discuss the various aspects of NEP 2020 and its implications for the country’s education landscape.
Prof. Dulumoni Goswami, Head of the Department of Education and President of the Conference, delivered the welcome address, highlighting the significance of NEP 2020 in shaping India’s educational future. Eminent academician Prof. Aarti Srivastava of NIPA, New Delhi delivered the keynote address, emphasizing on various aspects of NEP 2020 implementation in the country.

A panel discussion was held moderated by Prof. Gayatri Goswami, with the participation of academics, policy makers and education experts.
