Now, dash cam sightings from Hualien County, near the epicenter of the earthquake, showed several cars caught in the landslide.
The footage was taken as soon as the tremor started, 7:58 am local time

The cars then reverse, before several large rocks crash from high up the slope onto the road in front of them.
Another rock smashes into the back of one of the cars.
The driver with the dash cam continues in reverse as jagged rocks smash through the air, bouncing off the road in a series of narrow misses.
