Condie Nature Refuge –

50 sheep were hired to cull invasive species on Saturday at the Condie Nature Refuge.

Deadwood, as well as Kentucky bluegrass and smooth brome grass were on the menu for the sheep.

“They’re not picky eaters is what it comes down to. They’re what you call browsers, so leaving the twigs, they’ll eat leaves and leaves. They’ll do all that. They’re pretty hardy and they’re ‘easy to move around,'” said Josef Buttigieg, owner of Pank Farm.

These fluffy friends will graze parts of the land in several provincial parks during the summer.

Condie Nature Refuge is located about 20 minutes northwest of Regina
