Rimbey RCMP are looking for any information regarding the whereabouts of a missing family.

Mani’s family, which includes Winnie (39), Liliane (24), Debra (18), Israel (15), Samuel (14) and Gabriel (13), were reported to live in the Meridian Beach area near Ponoka County.

Mounties say Winnie last spoke to the family by phone on April 3, but the family’s whereabouts have not been confirmed since mid-March.

“Winnie’s children were removed from the school they were attending in Lacombe,” Cpl. Troy Savinkoff told CTV News Edmonton. “We don’t know if the family goes missing on their own, and doesn’t want to be found or not exactly what motivations they have for leaving.”

“There is no evidence, at the moment, that anything nefarious has happened. The circumstances themselves are worrying.”

A black 2013 Dodge Durango registered to Winnie Mani was found abandoned in a private parking lot near the Bow Habitat Station in southwest Calgary on March 28, according to police.
