Letter to SP A letter has reached the office of the Superintendent of Police from the ADM office on behalf of the district administration. In this letter, it has been written to appoint officers to take opinion from legal advisers for presenting appeals in the High Court, DB Bench and the Supreme Court. It is worth noting that the High Court not only quashed the criminal cases registered in the St Teresa land scam but also fined the Collector and the police officers. If the appeal in DB is accepted in this high profile case then there will be a new debate in this matter again. In case of not being accepted in DB, the administration can also appeal to the Supreme Court.
Criminal proceedings ended here Criminal proceedings are ongoing in the Sessions Court in the St Teresa land scam. Here, during the police case, a petition related to the case was filed in the court by Sarita Jain, Ayushi Jain.
In this petition in the year 2021, the court had declared that the criminal actions relating to land taken during the ongoing proceedings were null and void. This order was passed on 11 September 24.
In view of the High Court’s order, the District Sessions Court has closed the criminal case relating to land.
