Toronto, ON- coal up, a leading development program for media, creative arts and entertainment students in Canada, is proud to announce an innovative collaboration with Birds of Prey 905, NBA G League tagging the Toronto Raptors. This joint effort is a milestone in both organizations’ commitment to high-level experiences, mentoring, and nurturing emerging talent.

Along with Birds of Prey 905, Close Up held a student creative competition where participants teamed up with Raptors 905 players to produce engaging promotions and social media campaigns. Each team consisted of three Birds of Prey 905 players and mini Close Up production crew. Fifteen members took part in the competition including Glo Up’s film and photography students, three supervising graduates, and Birds of Prey 905 executives and staff.

The three supervised graduate students completed their mandatory graduation internship requirements in partnership with coal up, draw attention to the effectiveness of the program in terms of educating potential professionals. The program bridges the media, entertainment and sports development industries marking an exciting start to collaboration between Birds of Prey 905 a Close Up.

Among those who took part in the event were Birds of Prey 905 Vice President, Basketball and Franchise Operations, Courtney Charles, helped spearhead this collaboration. Charles started as an intern with the Toronto Raptors before moving up the ranks within the organisation. This collaboration represented a full circle moment, bringing together individuals who were committed to nurturing talent and fostering growth within the sports and entertainment industry.
