Ayan Mukherjee’s Brahmastra’s box office collection has been doing various kinds of news. The film has earned good collections. Although many reports said it was a hit, many did not consider it a hit due to the constant reports of the film’s huge budget. Brahmastra’s budget was earlier said to be around 410 crores. Later, reports surfaced on social media that Rs.650 was spent on the film. There is also buzz that Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are not getting paid due to high VFX bills. Now director Ayan Mukherjee has responded to this.
Ayan said – a film made of sacrifices
Ayan Mukherjee is happy with the love he received from Brahmastra. Now Brahmastra has answered about Ranbir and Alia’s salary. In conversation with trade analyst Komal Nahada, Ayan reveals that the film has been made with many personal sacrifices. It’s true that Ranbir didn’t take anything to make Brahmastra as much as a star does. This is a big deal. Otherwise, the film cannot be made.
Alia got a very low fee
Ayan also talked about Alia, who was signed for the film in 2014. Only a few of his films were released then. She was not the big star she is today. The amount fixed for Alia in the film is not huge but very small. Even before the completion of the film, Alia claimed that the entire amount had gone into the production of the film. Why didn’t Ranbir collect the fee?
On the same question Ranbir Kapoor answered your question whether I have charged anything or not. This is my role of a lifetime and I am also a part producer of the film. My approach and thinking has been long-standing. I didn’t take money from the first part, but more than anything, those who believe that this film can earn in part 3.
