Achi news desk-
Counting of votes for Raipur Lok Sabha is scheduled to take place today. Apart from the 7 constituencies of the district, it also includes assemblies in Aludbazar and Bhattapara. The preparations for counting the votes have been completed. In the last few days, CEO Reena Baba Saheb Kangala and officials have been practicing counting the votes.
.
Usually, the results of the Lok Sabha seats that the counting of assembly votes is completed soon are announced. So far, about 42,000 mail ballots have been received. A maximum of 500 votes will be counted on one table.
The counting will take place in 14 rounds in Raipur
There will be 14-16 or more tables in Raipur Lok Sabha seat. This means that the votes will only be counted in so many rounds. The number of tables or rounds is also determined in a very interesting way. You can see how many assemblies have a Lok Sabha. How many stalls are there in these assemblies? The total number of booths is divided by the number of tables.
When a number appears in decimal, it is considered an additional table. Usually 14-14 tables are set up. If the number of stands is up to 250 or 300, the number of tables increases. One round of 14 tables counts. That means 14 stalls will be counted at each table. Where there are fewer stalls, there are fewer tables.
Training provided to employees.
A smart watch will remain prohibited
Smart watches of leaders can cause trouble during the counting of votes, due to which the Chief Electoral Officer has completely banned smart watches from the counting place. A directive was issued by the Office of the Director of Elections on Tuesday regarding the prohibited items that can be taken to the counting place.
Things like taking pictures, participating in phone calls, transferring data can be done using a smart watch. The smart watches were banned so that security and vote counting could be carried out impartially. However, it was agreed to provide a calculator. so that the agents of the parties can cross-check the counting of votes.
However, the calculator will also accept analog instead of digital. That is, such a calculator that you can normally save only the calculations and not send a message.
Village voters go ahead
According to the data of the Election Commission, 66.82 percent voting took place in the Raphor Lok Sabha. Of these, 67.65 percent of men and 66 percent of women voted. Once again, the villagers exercised their rights more effectively than urban voters. Voter turnout in the four assembly constituencies of Raipur city was less than 60, while in the assemblies of the five rural areas it was more than 60. In Darasiva this figure even crossed 70.
More than 500 workers, 1000 policemen
During the counting of votes, about 500 employees of the district administration are posted at the engineering college located in Sajbahar. About 1000 policemen will be deployed for external security of the strong room, roads and intersections. DSP and ASP level officers have been asked to remain deployed at the spot for continuous patrolling.
For these reasons the whole process is affected
- Reasons for early results: There should be less assembly seats in Lok Sabha, less number of booths, more margin of votes for victory and defeat.
- Reason for delay in results: There should be more assemblies and more booths under the Lok Sabha seat. The difference in votes between victory and defeat should be less.
- In such a situation, the RO takes care by cross-checking the match of EVM and ballot paper. Reviews the EVMs that were not counted for any reason. Like the mock poll data is not deleted from the EVM, or the data of Part 1-2 of Form 17-C is not matching etc.
- If for some reason there is a malfunction in the EVM, then the RO sums up the votes cast in all these machines. If the number of votes in all the machines and the number of canceled postal notes is less than the number of winning votes, then it takes no time to publish the results.
- However, if deemed necessary, VVPAT slips are also counted first. It should also be remembered that no request for a recount was submitted.
