New Delhi: The BJP led alliance NDA has won the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections. But the BJP didn’t just get a majority. The BJP’s number of seats decreased, while the amount of votes held by Narendra Modi with his nearest competitor decreased compared to other times. In this situation, Rahul Gandhi made explosive comments. He claimed that if Priyanka Gandhi had contested from Varanasi, she would have defeated Prime Minister Narendra Modi by two to three lakh votes. Rahul claims that the people of the country have made it clear that they are not satisfied with Modi’s politics.
Incidentally, Narendra Modi has repeatedly attacked the Gandhi family with ‘nepotism’. In response, Rahul counterattacked. The sons of 20 leaders-ministers have been given a place in the new cabinet of the Modi government. Taking that issue, Rahul quipped, “Narendra Modi is the name of difference in words and deeds!” In his words, “I am not saying this out of any arrogance. I am saying this because the people of India have sent a message to the Prime Minister of the UK that they are not satisfied with his politics. Indian citizens have made their stand against hate and violence is clear.”

Rahul and Priyanka went to Rae Bareli on Tuesday to thank the people of the two Lok Sabha constituencies for Rahul Gandhi’s victory in Rae Bareli and Congress’s Kishorelal Sharma’s victory over Smriti Irani in Amethi. Rahul will also reportedly go to Kerala’s Wayanad to thank the people on Wednesday.
Attacking Narendra Modi, Rahul said, “Narendra Modi has somehow survived in Varanasi. Modi’s margin of victory in Varanasi has reduced from 5 lakh to 1.5 lakh this time. If my sister Priyanka had contested, Modi would have lost 2 to 3 lakh votes. ” Meanwhile, Modi himself is going to Varanasi on June 18.
