The Quebec City Police Department (SPVQ) is investigating an attempted murder that occurred at a home on Boulevard St. David early Friday morning.
Just after midnight, a man called 911 to report that he had just found a 32-year-old injured in the street.
He housed the victim in his car until first responders arrived.
The victim, who was in a “semi-conscious” state, was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
The police said that they are still looking for a suspect.
However, initial information suggests that this was “not a random act”.
A security perimeter was established at the place where the victim was found and at the residence where the attack allegedly took place.
The police warn that the checkpoint on Saint-David Boulevard may remain in place for part of the morning on Friday.
