Prohibited funding case: FIA summons PTI leader Mehmood-ur-Rashid
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has summoned PTI leader Mahmood-ur-Rashid on August 11 in the prohibited funding case.
On the direction of the federal government, FIA has extended the scope of inquiry against Tehreek-e-Insaaf to the entire country. The monitoring team will coordinate with the zonal inquiry team in Peshawar, Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Quetta and Faisalabad.
Former Speaker Asad Qaiser has been summoned by FIA
The Zonal Committees will also get details regarding the assets of Tehreek-e-Insaf. Inquiries will be conducted under the Political Parties Act, 2002.
The monitoring teams will consist of 5 members headed by Director Training Athar Waheed. The remaining members will include Khalid Anees, Khawaja Hammad, Chaudhry Ejaz and Ejaz Ahmed Sheikh.
Earlier, former Speaker Asad Qaiser has also been summoned by FIA. Asad Qaiser has been summoned to Peshawar Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on August 11.
According to sources, the FIA has asked Asad Qaiser for bank account details, for which a notice has been sent to him.
The notice said that Asad Qaiser should appear before the inquiry team in person and answer questions about these two bank accounts.
