Priyanka Gandhi’s electoral debut from Kerala’s Wayanad and Rahul Gandhi’s exit from the south Indian seat of Rae Bareli is practically a political strategy.

How do Kerala Congress leaders see the whole incident? According to sources, the Kerala Congress feels that with Priyanka’s contest, the legacy of the Gandhis will continue in this seat, while the people of Wayanad will easily welcome Priyanka as Rahul.

Congress secretary and MLA from Kundara in Kerala PC Vishnunadh said, “Priyanka Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi are like two eyes of Wanad. It is believed that they will help the people to see a new phase of development in the coming days keeping the faith and love of the people of the area intact.” Vishnunadh also said that Priyanka Gandhi is choosing Waynad to make her political debut, and she is fully welcomed by the people of Waynad.

In an interview with News18, Vishnunadh said, “Gandhi’s legacy remains intact in Oneday, be it Rahul ji or Priyanka ji. People know that Congress is committed to this seat and the margin of more than 3 lakh given to Rahul ji is proof of that. The people of Wanad are very happy with this decision”.

Incidentally, despite being born in a political family, Priyanka kept herself away from politics for a long time consciously. Although Kalebdra could be seen at meetings and marches with his mother and grandfather, he said at first he was not interested in entering electoral politics. Finally, Priyanka broke the promise of 20 years. He is going to contest from the Kerala Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency. Political analysts see the Congress strategy behind this change of opinion about Priyanka.

So Rahul gave a message to Priyanka to stand by the people of Wayanad. If Priyanka wins Oneday, Congress leaders believe that two members of the Gandhi family will continue to have a presence in the north and south of the country, which will help the party in the upcoming elections.
