The government schools in Jhansi are in bad condition. Not a single child reached the first class of 139 basic schools for entry. The condition of 19 junior high schools is similar. Where the number of admissions in 6th class is zero. After all the government schemes and the School Chalo campaign

.

The number of children in schools also decreased

There are 1452 Basic Education Council schools in the area. In order to register more and more children in these schools, the School Chalo campaign was launched between July 1 and 15. Under this campaign, children aged six years and older were to be registered in schools.

The management of the campaign was handed over to around 6 thousand primary teachers working in the area. Despite this, the results did not come out positively. This can be gauged from the fact that 1,42,320 children were registered in basic schools last year, while this time the number has dropped to 1,17,279.

classes still empty

The surprising thing is that not a single child has been admitted to the first class from 139 schools. These classes are still running empty in these schools. Although, not even one new student has been accepted in the sixth form from 19 junior secondary schools.

Taking this situation seriously, the department has given an ultimatum to the teachers of the schools in question to get the children into 1st and 6th classes within two days. After this an explanation is sought. If a satisfactory response is not received, action will be taken against those involved.

Age limit became a big obstacle

State Treasurer of Uttar Pradesh Primary Teachers Association, Nitin Chaurasia said that the biggest obstacle in admitting children in the first class is the age limit. Children under the age of 6 cannot be enrolled in basic schools. Now parents start sending children to school at the age of three to four. In such a situation, they enroll their children in private schools. Once a child reaches a private school, it becomes difficult for the child to return to a government school. The age limit should be relaxed.

the situation is very serious

District Basic Education Officer Vipul Shiv Sagar said that all the facilities are provided by the government to the children in basic schools. Even after this, not being able to get in is extremely unsatisfying. An ultimatum has been issued to teachers. After this, an explanation is sought from the teachers who did not give a place. If a satisfactory response is not received, action will be taken against those involved.
