In the case of an assault in Kodani police station area of Muzaffarpur, a woman SI demanded a bribe of Rs 5 thousand. Due to non-payment, FIR was not registered for 28 days. When this matter reached the senior officer, an FIR was registered on the 29th. In this case, the victim met the DIG at Burm and lodged a complaint.
Regarding this whole matter Muzaffarpur Rural SP Vidya Sagar said that a complaint was received regarding bribe demand regarding FIR. Action was taken by registering the victim’s FIR. The case not being registered for so many days is a very serious matter. A complaint was received against a female SI. The matter is investigated and actions are taken. After the investigation, legal action will be taken.
