Virendra Tekam and Inderpal Markam, members of the Farmers Association affected by Submerged Dams, said that the Shobhapur Dam is being constructed by the government under the Upper Narmada Project. This dam will affect the farmers land of 10 revenue villages of Anuppur district and 17 revenue villages of Dindori district. In terms of agriculture this area is like a small Punjab.
