Pakistan won another gold medal at the Commonwealth Games

Birmingham: Arshad Nadeem outshone everyone in the javelin final at the Commonwealth Games to win yet another gold medal for Pakistan.

Arshad Nadeem threw 86.81 meters in the first throw, a career best throw by a Pakistani athlete, in the final of the javelin event at the ongoing Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, after which his second throw was ruled a foul.

In the third throw, he further improved his record and threw 88 meters, while in the fourth throw he threw 85.09 meters.

Pakistani athlete Arshad Nadeem made a record throw of 90.18 meters in the fifth over, Arshad Nadeem became the first Pakistani to throw longer than 90 meters and also set the record for the longest throw in the Commonwealth Games.

Pakistan’s medal tally in the Commonwealth Games has reached 8, Pakistani athletes have won two gold medals, three silver and three bronze medals.
