Obstacles of early elections are over, final constituencies of the assemblies are underway
ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) The hurdles of holding early general elections are over, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has released the new final constituencies of the National and Provincial Assemblies.
There is great news regarding the upcoming general elections, all the legal hurdles to hold early general elections have been removed.
According to the notification, 266 general seats of the National Assembly have been created, 593 general seats of the four provincial assemblies have been created, constituencies of 859 general seats of the national and provincial assemblies have been created.
141 seats of Punjab, 61 of Sindh, 16 of Balochistan, 45 seats of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 3 seats of Islamabad have been kept in the National Assembly. After the 25th constitutional amendment, 6 seats in the National Assembly were reduced.
According to the notification, 51 general seats of Balochistan Assembly, 115 general seats of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, 297 seats of Punjab Assembly and 130 seats of Sindh Assembly have been created.
The constituencies were made as per the results of the sixth census, the first National Assembly Constituency NA 1 Chitral has been retained, the National Assembly Constituency of the Federal Capital will start from NA 46, the numbers of 231 constituencies have been changed. Go, National Assembly Constituencies from Punjab will start from NA 49 Attock, National Assembly Constituencies from Sindh NA 190 will start from Jacobabad, National Assembly Constituencies from Balochistan will start from NA 251 Sherani.
