Eight states including Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu are currently in the grip of heat wave, where the temperature remains between 40 and 44 degrees Celsius. The meteorological department says that currently two western disturbances are active due to which sporadic rains in states like UP, Uttarakhand, Himachal, Punjab, Haryana etc. during the next six days can provide relief to people from the heat.

According to the forecast issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), thunderstorms may occur at some places and winds may gust at a speed of 30 to 50 km per hour. According to IMD, light rain/snow is expected in Uttarakhand from April 8 to 13. Meanwhile, sporadic rain is possible over Jammu-Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh between April 10 and 13. Thunderstorm with light rain is expected over Rajasthan, UP between April 10 and 13 and Haryana-Punjab on 13 April.

According to the forecast for the next five days, severe heat wave will continue in North Tamil Nadu, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka. Apart from parts of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Saurashtra region of Maharashtra, the maximum temperature on Saturday was recorded between 40 and 44 degrees Celsius. The highest temperature of 44.5 degrees Celsius was recorded in Nandyal, Andhra Pradesh.

What will the weather be like in Karnataka?

The weather is very hot in many parts of Karnataka. The highest temperature recorded in Kolbargi on Sunday was 43.1 degrees Celsius. Bangalore recorded a temperature of 37.6 degrees Celsius, which is the highest in the last eight years. The districts facing extremely hot weather are Rachar (41.8°C), Bagalkot (41.5°C), Koppal (41.3°C) and Vijayapura (41°C).

According to the meteorological department, there is a possibility of light rain at isolated places in Chamarajangarh, Chikmagalur, Hassan, Kodagu and Shivamogga districts in the next 24 hours. The weather department has predicted light rain at isolated places in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Bidar, Kalboragi, Raichur, Yadgir, Chamarajangarh, Chikmagalur, Hassan, Kodagu and Shivamogga districts for Tuesday. Odisha: Three people were injured by lightning

People got relief due to rains and thunder in most parts of Odisha today. While in Belsur district, three people were injured due to lightning. According to sources, three people, including two tourists from West Bengal, who were wandering in the Udaipur beach area, were injured by lightning. He was admitted to the local hospital. In another incident, 15 goats died due to lightning in Batasan village of Ganjam district.
