In the rally he attacked the Modi government on this issue. He said Modi’s bail meant putting all opposition leaders in jail after June.
Last week, the NIA team reached Bhoptingar to conduct raids in the 2022 bomb blast case and arrest two accused (Manuvroto Jana and Balicharan Maiti). During this period, when the NIA team returned after arresting two accused, the local people pelted stones at the NIA team. In which glasses of NIA vehicles were broken and many police officers were injured.
On Saturday, the NIA team reached East Midnapore to investigate the Hoftingar blast case that took place in 2022. In this case, Jana’s wife accused the NIA officials of the NIA team forcibly entering their house and vandalizing their house. Jana’s wife filed an FIR accusing the NIA team of violating her modesty.
NIA has also registered a case with the local police regarding the assault of their officers. However, so far the Bengal Police has not arrested anyone in this case. TMC general secretary Abhishek Banerjee has also alleged collusion between central investigative agencies and the BJP. TMC claims that a senior BJP Bengal leader met the NIA inspector on March 26. In this meeting, a list of TMC leaders to be arrested is given The NIA completely rejected TMC’s claims. The agency claimed that its staff had carried out the raid within the framework of the law.

While addressing the rally in Bankura, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also a target. He said Prime Minister Modi’s promise to punish the corrupt after June 4 meant putting all opposition leaders in jail after the Lok Sabha elections. In fact, the results of the seven-phase Lok Sabha elections across the country will be announced on June 4.
Referring to the rally, Mamata Banerjee said, “The Prime Minister is coming to Bengal to address election rallies. I have no problem with that. But the way he has taken action against the opposition on the issue of corruption after the Lok Sabha election results. He said, it is unacceptable.”
While addressing a rally in Jalpaiguri on Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi claimed that when he says to remove corruption, the opposition says to save corruption. He assured the public that strict action would be taken against corruption after the results of the Lok Sabha elections.
