The BJP government of Odisha has changed the school dress color of students studying in class 9 and 10 of government and aided schools. According to a government order, the new dress will be in a combination of light brown, chocolate and earthy yellow colors. Currently, the school dress consists of a combination of green and white, matching the color code of the BJD party symbol. In a letter to the Director of Secondary Education, the Department of Mass Education said that secondary school students will now wear the new dress. The change in the color of the new dress was made as part of the ‘Chief Minister’s Student Clothing Program’.
