New Zealand also won the fourth T20I, leading the series 1–2 Achi-News

New Zealand also defeated Pakistan in the fourth T20I to take a 1-2 lead in the series.

In the match played at the Gaddafi Stadium, the Pakistan team could score 174 runs while chasing New Zealand’s target of 179 runs.

Fakhiz Zaman played a brilliant innings of 61 runs for the green shirts but could not lead the team to victory.

Among the other batsmen, Iftikhar Ahmed scored 23, Imad Wasim scored 22 not out and Saeem Ayub scored 20 runs while Usman Khan scored 16 runs.

On behalf of New Zealand, William O’Rourke took 3 wickets and was named Man of the Match. Ben Sears struck out 2 while Michael Bracewell and Jimmy Nesham each struck out one.

Pakistan won the toss and invited New Zealand to bat first. Batting first, the visiting team scored 178 runs for 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Opener Tim Robinson played an innings of 51 runs, while Dan Foxcroft scored 34 runs, Tom Blundall scored 28 runs and captain Michael Bracewell scored 27 runs.

On behalf of Pakistan, Abbas Afridi dismissed 3 players while Zaman Khan, Iftikhar Ahmed, Mohammad Amir and Osama Mir took one wicket each.

Speaking on the occasion of the toss, captain Babar Azam said he decided to bowl because of the dew factor.

He said two of our players are injured, four changes have been made for this game. Mohammad Amir, Imad Wasim, Fakhar Zaman and Zaman Khan have been included in the playing XI.

Babar Azam said Mohammad Rizwan and Irfan Khan were unfit while Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah were rested.

The New Zealand captain said that three changes had been made in the team but I don’t remember the names.

The first T20 match of the series between Pakistan and New Zealand was abandoned due to rain.

In the second match, Pakistan defeated New Zealand by 7 wickets, while in the third match, the visiting team also won by the same margin.
