America had killed Osama bin Laden in Pakistan on May 2, 2011.
Osama bin Laden was born on March 10, 1957 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He had formed the terrorist organization Al Qaeda. Laden masterminded the terrorist attack on America on September 9, 2001.
Al Qaeda terrorists hijacked 4 planes and crashed them into the Twin Towers of America’s World Trade Center. The third plane hit the Pentagon, while the fourth plane crashed. About 3 thousand people were killed in this attack, while more than 25 thousand people were injured.
On May 2, 2011, 10 years after the 9/11 attacks, America killed Osama bin Laden in Pakistan. To kill Osama, about 25 SEAL commandos flew from Afghanistan in 6 American helicopters.
These helicopters landed at the compound in Abbottabad, 120 km from Islamabad, where Osama lived. Osama was on the third floor of the house, commandos arrived there and shot Laden in his face and head. Osama’s wife and son were also killed in the operation.
American commandos packed Laden’s body in a bag and took it to Afghanistan. This whole operation lasted 40 minutes. After this, then US President Barack Obama confirmed Osama’s death.
