Guwahati: The police recently arrested Mutiyur Rahman, a resident of Juria locality, for allegedly duping women with false promises of work and selling them overseas in Nagaon.

Rahman is accused of luring women under the pretense of providing jobs in Mumbai, only to transfer them to clients in Oman, where they faced abuse and imprisonment.
A victim confirmed in the video that she was being sold by Rahman and described the inhumane conditions. The woman, now trapped in Oman, shared details of her abuse and imprisonment.
Speaking to Gplus, an official from the Juria Police Station, Nagaon said, " Motior deceived women on the pretext of providing them with jobs in Mumbai. He allegedly sold these women to clients overseas in Oman. We are still investigating the issue to verify if other women are involved."
The victim’s family filed an official complaint with the Juria police station. The police arrested Rahman and started a deeper investigation.
