Father said we should have understood his stress
The girl’s father said, “We didn’t know she was in so much trouble, we shouldn’t have left her alone. “We could have understood her stress, we could have spoken to her freely,” he said in words of regret.

People don’t want to talk about this

Sumita Belare from ‘Malad Youth Organisation’ who has been creating awareness of health problems in Malad for many years said, ‘Women and girls are shy from even mentioning the word periods and menstruation. Even today, this hindsight in society is a shame.’ Families do not send their daughters or women when workshops are held on this subject. He speaks kindly.

I wonder about their thinking. Not only economically or socially backward, in fact, this mentality is common among women from all sections. We need to create awareness about menstruation among girls, women and girls.

Girls should be informed about periods straight from the first class

The local teacher, Pratek Thorat, said, ‘This most important and fundamental subject in life should be included in the school curriculum. “When asked about this in Marathwada, a girl said that her father told her that God has punished you. So she doesn’t go to school. These people call the period as punishment. So we have to teach children from scratch. Information should be given about the period and private parts.

Why is it taboo to talk openly about menstruation in our society?

Talking about periods is considered taboo in our society. This is such a big taboo that even today about 53% of women are not allowed to participate in religious activities. Apart from many beliefs, there are restrictions on menstruation in society. In rural areas of many states, women and girls do not have the right to go to temples or participate in worship during periods.

Don’t go to the kitchen, don’t touch pickles, stay away from the temples, these are the things that women in many parts of the country still hear on certain days of the month ie in during periods. In many states and some communities, girls and women live outside the home in a small mud house during periods. It will be very short. You can’t sit properly here. Many times these social restrictions go beyond limits and we begin to doubt our educated status.

‘Rashi’ of beauty in a bold dress!

It is true that the blood that comes out during periods is different from the blood that flows in the veins, but it is not dirty. This blood, which is unnecessary for the body, accumulates in the ovaries and comes out during periods. Going to the kitchen or going to the temple during spells does not make anything impure. Pickles only spoil if touched with wet hands, which can happen to anyone. These things should not be related to menstruation.
