On Tuesday, near Sujapur market in Kotwali police station area of Bhagalpur, a thief who ran away after looting money from the bag of a woman going to the market was caught and severely beaten by the people. Here, after receiving information about the incident, the Kotwali police reached the spot and rescued the thief from the clutches of the people. ANM Archana Kumari, who works at Sadar Hospital, is said to have gone to the Sujapur market on Tuesday to buy items for Durga Puja. Meanwhile, a young man in the back took out the money he kept in his bag and started to run away. Then Arcana’s brother saw him, after which he ran and caught him and beat the young man severely. During this time a huge crowd of people gathered. People informed the police about the incident. The police arrived at the scene and took the young man into custody and took him to the police station.
