MLA Aftab Ahmed clearly told the officials that there is an immediate need for a solution to the drinking water problems. For now, an alternative arrangement should be started, which should be a permanent solution after some time. On 3 June, MLA Aftab Ahmed held a meeting with the district officials and asked for a solution to the drinking water supply. The MLA had demanded that a senior official be appointed who would review the problem, find a solution and make it known officially.
MLA Aftab Ahmed officials assured in the meeting that a tender worth Rs 306 crore is in the process, which will be resolved. The MLA said that other arrangements should be started immediately. On this, the officials said that the administration will deliver water through tankers wherever there is a problem. The MLA also had a detailed discussion with officials on Badli Irrigation Based Drinking Water Project, Noorpur Drinking Water Scheme as well as Maha Gram Malab-Ghaseda Drinking Water Project.
