The election of Congress Member of Parliament Arif Masood from the Central Assembly of Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, is being challenged in the Madhya Pradesh High Court. The petitioner is Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Dhruv Narayan Singh. While filing the petition, he told the court that the Congress MP hid information in his affidavit during the assembly elections in 2023. The petitioner says that Congress MP Arif Masood hid the information related to taking a loan in during his nomination for the assembly elections and misled the Electoral Commission. While conducting the preliminary hearing on the case, a single bench of Justice Vivek Aggarwal has issued a notice to Congress MLA Arif Masood. Now the next hearing on the case will be on May 14.
