The Ministry of Defense on Wednesday denied reports that new Sainik schools were assigned to institutions linked to any political party or its ideologies. A report published by the online media platform The Reporters Collective alleged that the government allotted 62% of the new Sainik schools to people associated with the Sangh Parivar, politicians from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its allies.
