Chairman ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) FBR Amjad Zubair Towana has ensured steps to ensure payment by credit card and said that it will be the responsibility of retailers to accept payment by credit card, if at all Or if the debit card is not accepted, the business will be closed.
At the meeting of the Senedd’s Standing Committee on Finance, members of the Senedd raised complaints against the retailers. Members said many retailers, including restaurants and bookstores, do not accept credit or debit cards and turn customers away by pretending the machine is down.
On this, FBR Chairman Amjad Zubair assured Towana of steps to ensure payment by credit card. He said it will be the responsibility of the retailers to accept payment by credit card, if someone does not accept a credit or debit card, the business will be sealed.
Chairman FBR said that retailers who do not operate POS invoice system will be fined Rs 5 lakh, who will be allowed to open business or shop after 7 days of receiving it.
