Mamata’s ‘vocal tonic’, energizes grassroots camp in Parliament

New Delhi: On Thursday, the Chief Minister sat in a meeting with the party MPs in Delhi Mamata Bandhopadhyay . Badal suggested what the party’s strategy would be in Parliament in the latter half of the session. Accordingly, ‘Team Mamata’ got up in Parliament at the last minute. According to the sources, the Trinamool camp started making final preparations anticipating that the alternate session of the Parliament may end before the scheduled time. Mamata had already decided on the strategy. Accordingly, the grassroots is rising. Benazir’s activism was visible in both houses of Parliament. Accordingly, since Friday, the Trinamool MPs have been voicing the half-completed central projects including the dues of Bengal to the Center in both the Houses of Parliament. Senior Trinamool MPs Sukhendu Shekhar Roy, Nadeemul Haque, Zahar Sarkar, Mausam Benazir Noor and Sushmita Deb have spoken in this regard in the Rajya Sabha. Saugata Roy, Kakali Ghosh Dastidar, Mahua Maitra and others joined the Lok Sabha. Trinamool also finalized ‘floor coordination’ with other opposition parties like DMK, AAP, SP, RJD, IUML, excluding the ‘busy’ agitation outside the Parliament on price hike. But why this activity?

According to Trinamool parliamentACHI party sources, Vice President and Rajya Sabha Chairman Venkaiah Naidu will be farewelled on Monday, August 8. The opposition camp claims that the government is desperate to pull the trigger in the current session after the farewell reception of the vice president. The opposition camp is complaining that as the pressure of the opposition is gradually increasing on various issues including misuse of central agencies, increase in the price of daily necessities, the government thinks it is better to end the session of the parliament by passing some necessACHI bills. In the midst of all this, when the representative MPs of all the parties will speak in the Rajya Sabha on the occasion of the farewell greeting of the Vice President, the leaders of the Rajya Sabha, Derek and Brien, are supposed to present a long speech on behalf of the Trinamool. However, in that speech, the possibility of finding a place for a sarcastic remark is greater than a farewell greeting.

In this case, another information has come to light August 10 is the last day of Venkaiah Naidu’s term as Vice President If the Badal session had ended on August 12 as per the pre-scheduled schedule, the new potential vice president Jagdeep Dhankhar would have taken over as chairman of the Rajya Sabha, albeit for two days. But when the Badal session of Parliament expires on August 8 or 10, Jagdeep Dhankhar will no longer be seen as Rajya Sabha Chairman in this session. In this scenario, the Trinamool camp is eyeing the winter session to ‘welcome’ former state governor Jagdeep Dhankhar to the Upper House. Apart from this, the Ghassful camp remains firm on its pre-determined decision to abstain from the election for the post of vice president on Saturday. But the thought is about the two MPs father and son from the ‘adhikari’ family of Medinipur. Sudip Banerjee has earlier warned Sishir and Dibyendu Adhikari by writing a letter today to refrain from voting in the vice-presidential election following the instructions of the party. However, a section of the expert circles is skeptical about what this ‘official duo’ will ultimately decide.
