Sub-Inspector in charge of Jayant Chowki, Abhishek Pandey, said that two pick-up vehicles were stopped and checked today near Jayant Block of Jayant Chowki. On which goats are crowded. The goats were shouting a lot, the number of goats loaded in the pickup was counted, where 39 pieces were loaded in one pickup vehicle and 47 pieces were loaded in the other pickup vehicle.

This was stopped and action was taken under the Cruelty to Animals Act. 39 animals were seized along with driver Raju Bansal who lives in Bahri Sidhi area and another pickup including 47 goats from the possession of driver Aftab Qureshi Anpara police station Sonbhadra district. During this the vehicle was seized and forced to park at the post office.
