Maharashtra Chief Minister Akanth Shinde launched a scathing attack on former CM Uddhav Thackeray during a public meeting on Thursday. CM Shinde said it is better to travel by helicopter after engaging in agriculture instead of traveling by helicopter just to take pictures. Shinde arrived in Hingoli, Maharashtra, to to campaign in favor of the party candidate, during which the CM targeted Uddhav Thackeray.
Targeting Uddhav Thackeray
Shinde said: “I am being interrogated for traveling in a helicopter and doing agriculture. If a farmer’s son has become the chief minister then why is there so much pain in it? It is better to travel in a helicopter to agriculture and not to take pictures. CM said that ‘When I was doing agriculture, my hands would reach the ground And I remained connected to the earth’. The members of the MLA rebelled under the leadership of Eknath Shainda, and because of this the Shiv Sena split into two factions. Due to this, Uddhav Thackeray had to lose the post of CM. Uddhav Thackeray loves photography and earlier Uddhav Thackeray published a photo book by aerial photography of Maharashtra forts. In such a situation, Eknath Shinde is believed to have taken a dig at Uddhav Thackeray.
Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena is part of the Mahayuti alliance, which includes the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena, along with the BJP and Ajit Pawar’s NCP. Mahayoti is contesting from Mahavikas Aghadi, which includes Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena, NCP and Sharad Pawar’s Congress. CM said in Maratha reservation that “we have fulfilled the promise given to people but some people are trying to take political benefits out of it and people of Maratha community should be careful about it”.
