Expressing concern over the issue of reservation among communities, Sharad Pawar said that the Maharashtra government should hold talks with the stakeholders. He said that the Chief Minister interacts with one group of people, and other people in the government interact with other groups. Because of this, a misunderstanding arises between the two.
These days the atmosphere is hot in Maharashtra regarding the reservation. SP NCP chief Pawar expressed concern over this. He said the Maharashtra government should openly talk to the stakeholders. Pawar said he recently shared his feedback with Prime Minister Akanath Shinde who was in favor of talks. “The dialogue that should have taken place with stakeholders regarding the quota did not take place. The prime minister is talking to one group of people, while others in the government are talking to different groups. This leads to misunderstandings,” he said.
Sharad Pawar said the government should call Maratha activists Manoj Jarange, Chhagan Bhujbal and others demanding OBC reservation for talks to be blood related they get invitation under OBC category.
OBC members including minister Chagan Bhujbal were seen upset after the demand for reservation. They insisted to the government that their quota should not be reduced. Sharad Pawar said that he is concerned about the rift between localities on the issue of quotas. He said that Manoj Jaranj had said that reservations should also be given to Lingayat, Muslim and Dhangar communities. He said that there should be a real discussion regarding the reservation. If this is done, there will be no bitterness in society.
The discussion about the distribution of seats begins, the decision will be taken unanimously
Regarding seat sharing between his party Shiv Sena (UBT) and the Maha Vika Agadi formed by the Congress ahead of the assembly elections, Sharad Pawar said that the alliance partners have suggested some names for discussion. According to him, it was agreed that the decision on the distribution of seats would be taken unanimously. Sharad Pawar said, “I also said that the Left parties, who did not demand any seats in the last Lok Sabha elections, should get seats in the upcoming assembly elections as well. Talks on seat sharing will take place after the current session of Parliament.”
The programs announced the upcoming elections
The NPP SP leader said that the state government had issued several notifications recently. “People are saying that ‘Ladaki Behin’ and ‘Ladaka Bhau’ schemes have been announced only because the assembly elections are near. These schemes may be completed in one or two installments,” he said. Let us tell you that under the Boy Bhau scheme, 12th pass job seekers will get a monthly stipend of Rs 6,000, diploma holders will get Rs 8,000 and bachelor degree holders will get Rs 10,000. Under the Ladki Bahin Yojana, eligible women will get Rs 1,500 per month.
Prime Minister Modi was also targeted
He also attacked Prime Minister Modi and said that the Prime Minister should clarify his position on such programs. According to him, “The amount we are spending on promoting infrastructure is fine. But Modi said earlier that such programs will not strengthen the economy. Now he needs to clarify his position regarding the impact of these programs.”
