Big news has come out of Thane district in Maharashtra. There is an allegation of fraud of Rs 39.25 lakh by securing fake jewelery in a private co-operative bank here. The police opened a case against 22 people in this matter.

The accused took out a loan from the bank’s branch in the Mombra area between November 2020 and November 2021 by pledging the jewelry. Some of the accused have taken several loans. A Mumbra Police official said that later during the audit and inspection, it was found that the jewelery seized was not genuine. According to him, based on the bank clerk’s complaint, a case was registered against 22 people.
