Voting began today in 88 seats in the country, including 8 seats in Maharashtra. 204 candidates are in the fray for 8 seats in Vidarbha. Amravati has the highest number of candidates in the 8 Lok Sabha constituencies to be held today. 37 candidates are in the fray in Amravati. The lowest number of candidates is in Akula. 15 candidates try their luck here. The decision of 1202 candidates across the country will be signed today. Some candidates voted in the morning after the prayer. In Akola, a candidate from Ayutthaya Anup Dattara left his home to cast his vote. Mahayoti candidate Ramdas Thads performed pooja at home and visited various temples in the city.

Due to the heat, there were tents at the polling station

Voting for the second phase of Lok Sabha elections in the state will be completed today. Voting started at 7 am. Adequate police arrangements are made in each booth center to prevent any non-serious incident. Considering the rising temperature, shade arrangements were made by placing booths in polling stations in rural areas. Also arranged cribs and other toys for children. A total of 6 lakh 64 thousand 308 voters will exercise their right to vote in Washim-Yavatmal Lok Sabha constituency.

Voting in 88 seats instead of 89

15.88 million voters will vote for 88 seats in the country. In view of the heat wave, the voting time has been extended in four constituencies in Bihar. The vote was supposed to take place in 89 constituencies in the country. But due to the death of a Bhujan Samajwadi Party candidate in Batul in Madhya Pradesh, the third phase of voting will be held here. Because of this, voting will take place in 88 constituencies instead of 89 in the second phase.
