The counting of votes for the Lok Sabha elections began at 8 am. Shocking results come at the end of the first round of vote counting. According to exit polls, NDA was predicted to get a majority in the state. However, the BJP, which was leading by more than 300 seats at the start of counting, lost some ground at the end of the first round. So there is a trend that India Union will get more seats compared to this. According to the latest vote count, BJP is expected to get 290 seats and Hindu Agadi 215 seats. Interestingly, in the states of Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra where the BJP was strong, the BJP lost ground in Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra. Akhilesh Yadav’s charisma is seen in UP and Uddhav Thackeray’s charisma in Maharashtra.
Uttar Pradesh has a total of 80 seats in the Lok Sabha. With this, the NDA BJP alliance is contesting 75 seats. So, Mitra Paksha Apna Dal 2, Rashtriya Lok Dal 2 and Suheldev 1 are contesting for 5 seats. So, the constituent party of the legendary Indian Congress is contesting for 17 seats, the Samajwadi Party for 62 seats and the Trinamool Congress for one seat. The Samajwadi Party is estimated to be leading in 40 seats in Uttar Pradesh. BJP is leading in 30 seats. Akhilesh Yadav’s Samajwadi Party cycle seems to be running strong in Uttar Pradesh.
In Maharashtra, it turns out that Uddhav Thackeray’s charisma remains even after his party split. BJP is leading in 16 seats and Shinde group in 6 seats in the state. Ajitada’s NCP does not seem to be getting any seats. Meanwhile, the constituent parties of Mahbikas Agadi, Congress is leading in 7 seats, Sharad Pawar’s NCP in 8 seats and Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena in 9 seats.
The two states of Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra hold the keys to the country’s power. This is why the BJP has focused its attention on these two states. However, in these two major states, BJP seems to be lagging behind.
