After 75 years of service, Smitty’s Furniture is back in Barrie.
On Saturday, they celebrated a triumphant return by opening a new location on Byrne Drive.
The family business is being taken over by its fourth generation.
“It’s been a really warm, amazing response from people who remembered us sixteen years ago from when we were last here,” said Smitty’s Vice President of Operations, Matt Gray.
“We specialize in Canadian products, and there are really a lot of amazing brands that have been built in this area.”
The company says sustainability is one of its main focuses.
The business has been in operation since 1949.
