A man’s body has been found in Lake Parramatta in Sydney’s west.
Emergency workers were called to the area shortly before 6.30pm on Monday after reports that the man had gone under the water and had not come up.
Police said his body was found in the water at around 9.30pm after a search involving water police, paramedics and a rescue helicopter.
The man, believed to be 23 years old, has not been formally identified.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
