Kolkata: After the arrest of Partha Chatterjee on recruitment corruption charges, the first person to speak publicly on behalf of the Trinamool was party spokesperson Kunal Ghosh. Perth should be removed from all posts in the party, tweeted. Let Parth be removed from the ministry. However, Kunal has repeatedly moved. While Parth has yet to open his mouth publicly, Kunal was heard to say bluntly, “The media has given ample opportunity to speak. The camera is held in front. He has been given enough time, opportunity. They are not claiming to be innocent. They never once say that there is a conspiracy.” When Partha first claimed that he was the victim of a conspiracy after losing all the Trinamool posts and losing the state ministry, Kunal was heard scoffing.
While raising conspiracy theories after Partha Chatterjee was arrested by the ED in the teacher recruitment corruption case, Kunal Ghosh said, “If someone really has something to say, he will say it on the first day. Having been silent for so long, now it’s a little unusual to speak. If no one has committed any wrongdoing, then on the first day you will shout that there is a conspiracy with me, I am innocent. If it takes 6 days or 7 days to say that, then the question will arise in the minds of the common people, why didn’t they say so long?” Kunal Ghosh said on Friday that Partha Chatterjee had also conspired against him.
This is not the first time though. Partha had to fall under Kunal’s target even before this. CBI summoned Partha Chatterjee several times in ICO case. Investigators also went to Shilpa Bhaban to interrogate Parth. At that time, Kunal Ghosh was heard saying while appearing in the MLA-MP Special Court in Salt Lake, “The one who was seen on the stage of Aikore, the one who raised the model of Aikore, the one who called me crazy from outside, is now a minister. He is walking around. He needs to be put in jail by the neck.”
