Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, the police conducted raids in Ballari city, Karnataka. During this, the police seized Rs 5.60 crore in cash, three kg of gold, more than 100 kg of silver jewelery and 68 silver biscuits. Its total price is said to be Rs 7.60 crore.
According to the police, a huge amount of cash and jewelry was found in the home of the jewelry store owner Naresh. He was taken for questioning by the police. The police suspect a connection to the patient in this case. A case has been registered under Section 98 of the Karnataka Police Act. The file will be sent to the Income Tax Department for further investigation.
In another raid, 1200 gelatin sticks, seven boxes of wires and six explosives were seized. The police arrested one person in this case.
