KARACHI (News Desk) Anti-Terrorism Department of Sindh Police arrested a constable of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police and thwarted smuggling of weapons in school bags by conducting an operation on Kashmir Road Karachi.
According to DSP Raja Umar Khattab, CTD Intelligence Wing conducted the operation near KMC Sports Complex.
Small arms were found from the school bag of the accused police officer Azharuddin.
The arrested accused belongs to an inter-provincial arms smuggling group, the group supplies arms online in Pakistan including Karachi, the accused works for Daniyal, secretary of KP bus center.
According to CTD officials, Daniyal is a key operative of arms dealers Qadeer, Saddam and Nadeem & Sons.
KPK police card was recovered from the possession of the accused Azharuddin arrested, the accused has already supplied weapons in Karachi.

A special desk of CTD completes monitoring. Three arms dealers in KPK have sent heavy weapons to Karachi so far.
CTD has already arrested two suspects from the group, mostly retired or dismissed CC personnel are involved in arms smuggling, citizens are placing orders online, Daniyal Munshi is doing the delivery.
Daniyal pays the travel fare and compensation per pistol, the accused comes to Karachi and hands over the arms to the party and returns, the arrested accused has been handed over to CTD and further investigation is underway.
