KARACHI: At least 16 civilians were killed in bandit firing during Ramadan in Karachi.
According to the report, 6 thousand 780 cases of street crimes occurred in Karachi in one month, 20 vehicles were stolen and more than 130 were stolen.
The report revealed that 830 motorcycles were confiscated and 4,200 were stolen during Ramadan. Although the number of mobile phones stolen was 1,600.
Keeping in mind the deteriorating law and order situation, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah directed the police to increase security and monitoring in Karachi, as a large number of people gathered in markets two days ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr .
Murad said Karachi registers an average of 166 cases per day, which is less than other cities in the country.
