Karachi: Administrator Karachi Murtaza Wahab has announced that he is resigning from his post in protest against the imposition of KMC tax which will have to be collected through K-electricity charging..
Citing the reason for his resignation, Karachi Administrator Murtaza Wahab said that we have decided to collect Rs 6.15 billion, adding that he worked for one year to collect taxes.
Murtaza Wahab informed that he has chosen K-electric for tax collection while saying that it is registered in the law that Karachi Metropolitan Cooperation (KMC) can levy any taxes.
The PPP leader said that some people want things cannot be improved, adding that KMS is providing relief and people are not seeing it.
The KMC which is said to be powerless and this same KMC has been working under him, adding that the solution to everything exists in the constitution and the law.
