Jharkhand’s first Energy Minister, Lalchand Mahato, who was a three-time Member of Parliament from the Dumri Assembly, died of a heart attack. His age was 72 years. He felt dizzy in the bathroom late at night at his home in Ranchi and fell unconscious. He was immediately taken to a private hospital. Where the doctor pronounced him dead.
