Vijay Kumar Singh, a resident of Ganjala, Kunwar Tola of Sadar police station area, lodged a complaint of theft of jewelery worth Rs 5 lakh along with Rs 56 thousand in cash by breaking the lock of his house. The victim said that he went to his village on June 5 for an important job. During this time, he gave the guest room key to his lodger and asked him to sleep at night. But when they returned on June 23, they found that the house’s lock had been broken. He didn’t even have a tenant. When he asked him, he was told that he had also gone to Purnia on June 22 for important work. He also reached Saharsa some time ago. Then, after investigating the house, they found that apart from the jewellery, a bundle of 500 rupees kept in Godrei and another 6000 rupees in cash, i.e. a total of 56 thousand in cash was missing. Sadar police station president Subodh Kumar said the case has been registered. An investigation is underway.
